Help your school increase academic achievement and outcomes for your students.
MPS values family and community members as active partners in reviewing funding, policies, practices and programs at our schools. All MPS schools have site councils to support site-based decision making to increase academic outcomes for our students. Site councils are a way that parents and community members can learn what is happening in their school and influence decisions. It's important for site councils to reflect the student population of the schools to ensure a diversity of ideas and input.

Site Council Meeting Dates for the 2026-2027 School Year
All Site Council Meetings will take place at Franklin Middle School in our media center. A virtual option will be offered to those who request it.
Initial Meeting (Introductions, Review the school compact, Mission and Vision, Family Engagement Plan)- Thursday, October 22, 2026 at 4:00 PM
2nd Meeting (Progress Monitoring on Family Engagement Plan) - Thursday, December 3, 2026 at 4:00 PM
3rd Meeting (School Updates) - Thursday, January 7, 2027 at 4:00 PM
4th Meeting (Needs Assesssment for Budgeting) - Thursday, February 11, 2027 at 4:00 PM
5th Meeting (Budget Updates) - Thursday, March 4, 2027 at 4:00 PM
Final Meeting (Close of year, Review Family Engagement Plan, Review School Compact) - Thursday, May 6, 2027 at 4:00 PM
